The School District has a contract with an Independent contractor to place students in appropriate homestay and to manage the homestay program.   There is a one-time Homestay Placement Fee of $300 CDN.

:: Services Provided: 

• Private bedroom with a bed, desk, chair, lamp and clothes closet
• Shared laundry and bath
• Three nourishing meals per day
• Maximum of two students with different languages per family

As a member of a family, students are expected to participate in family activities and routines of the family. Please visit our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's) page for some homestay student guidelines and responsibilities.

The Homestay host family or a District representative will meet the student at the airport and accompany them on their first visit to the school and school board office. The family will provide a tour of all the facilities and amenities in the community.

The homestay cost effective September 1, 2007 ranges from $800 to $900 CDN per month. The students pay the homestay family directly on a monthly basis.
