Sea to Sky School District

The Sea to Sky School District is located 30 minutes north of Vancouver and is the gateway to BC's magnificent alpine country of forests, lakes, and year round world class outdoor activities.

The district is comprised of both coast and mountains and includes the communities of Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton. It was among these ancient rain forests that generations of Coastal Salish First People's lived and traded.

The Sea to Sky region is considered a very desirable place to live. Families are welcoming, multicultural, and our communities are some of the safest in Canada. People choose Sea to Sky for the many lifestyle opportunities it has to offer.

The mission of our International Education Department is to draw students from around the world to our communities in Sea to Sky.  At the same time, it will help our growing number of Canadian students achieve global competencies, skills and networks needed to drive Canada's success and innovation.  Lastly, it will assist our schools to design and export cutting-edge education services to an increasing number and diversity, of international students.

The Sea to Sky International Program is a popular choice for students wanting a to spend a full year or semester abroad studying. Students from around the world enjoy learning along side our Canadian students and taking the numerous courses available while improving their English. We offer students the advantage of smaller communities with diversity in our International population so that they may have a truly Canadian experience.

All of our schools are accredited by the British Columbia Ministry of Education and offer our government-approved curriculum. The courses offered at the schools are taught by teachers with Masters' degrees and Bachelors of Education certified by the British Columbia College of teachers and dedicated to ensuring the deepest levels of learning. Students are expected to choose their courses when they apply so we can work toward getting the classes they need and want.
